Experienced ECE Teacher for school ready programme
Mangapikopiko School is offering a unique opportunity to work collaboratively to create a safe, nurturing environment where our youngest learners thrive. We are excited to be one of a cluster of schools working with The Manson Foundation to overcome barriers to learning and ensure our learners have access to high quality education and opportunities.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ECE teacher to join our team and develop a School Ready Programme for our new entrant students.
The Role:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing a curriculum-based programme that supports our new entrant students' transition to school life. This will involve:
Developing and implementing a School Ready Programme aligned with Te Whariki
Collaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a smooth transition for new entrants
Providing targeted support to students who may require additional assistance
Assessing and monitoring student progress and adjusting the programme accordingly
Recognise and nurture our students’ strengths
Requirements:
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or equivalent qualification
Current New Zealand teaching registration
Proven experience working with young children in an early childhood setting in New Zealand
Strong understanding of Te Whariki
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
