We are a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing school.   Our philosophy is underpinned by our values of Manaaki (Kindness), Pono (Integrity) and Whanaungatanga (Belonging) and guided by our strategic aims: educationally powerful partnerships, inclusive and culturally sustaining and collective efficacy.   

Our learning studios have been designed to be flexible spaces that foster learning and collaboration amongst our akonga.  Learning at Mangapikopiko is not limited to the classroom, our playgrounds, courtyard, entrance space, gardens and even the stairs have been designed in a considered fashion to enhance opportunities to learn and engage with the environment.   

We believe in the importance of partnerships with our whānau and everyone in our school community is welcomed into our classrooms and the playground to visit, learn and play with their tamariki.  We offer a range of services to our whānau including nurses, whānau workers and training through our Kootuitui whānau.  Our Seesaw learning journals ensure that whānau are kept informed of their child’s achievements.  We look forward to working alongside you throughout your child's first years at school.
